35 Biggest Hits supplants the previous front-runner in Tim McGraw compilations, 2010's Number One Hits. Where that double-disc set topped out at 24 tracks, this, as the title suggests, goes all the way to 35 cuts, a move that is more generous by definition but it also trumps its predecessor by proceeding in a chronological order, opening with 1994's Indian Outlaw and concluding with 2011's Better Than I Used to Be (treat the live version of Just When I Needed You Most as the bonus track it's intended to be). In between these two songs come all of McGraw's best-known songs from his run at Curb — Not a Moment Too Soon, I Like It, I Love It, Something Like That, My Next Thirty Years, Live Like You Were Dying, Back When, Felt Good on My Lips all among them — and that's enough to make this a strong summary of McGraw's peak years.
