Breezy, warm and most often ukulele driven, the Dutch songstress clearly has sophisticated classical influences, but also seems indebted to the delicate indie-rock scene in The States. Moyra’s voice is soft but confident, and similarly her unassuming songs have a lasting impression with ragtime and slight jazz feelings that would be a great way to complement any Jolie Holland album. File this one under tropical folk and listen often.
