“Sweet Disguise” is the debut album of young talented Singer&Songwriter Brenda Bee. Eventhough many haven’t heard of her own music material she has gained quite a lot of musical baggage, experience and fans over the short time she’s been exploring the music business. In 2010 she graduated as a Singer&Songwriter from the Artez Conservatory. Immediately after, she took part in several music groups. Amongst those, she toured with various famous Dutch artists along Dutch theaters with music-theater shows.During the summer of 2013 she decided it was time to let people hear her own music and so the plan to record ‘Sweet Disguise’ was born. Her debut album contains songs she wrote over the last couple of years and more recent song material. Not only her warm and versatile sound stands out, but also the wide range of musical genres she, together with her producers and musicians, manages to turn into her own unique sound. “I’m not just made to sing intimate, little songs and I’m not just made to bring the roof down, a combination of those is who I am, it completes the picture” she says. “Every person needs to shout it out sometimes, and every person will shed some tears now and then, it’s who we are, it’s life, strong and fragile, happy and sad at the very same time”. She wants to share with her audience who she really is, for the full range. Every song on the album comes from the heart, they are all written by Brenda Bee herself. Therefore they are true personal glimpses into her life and personality. “Sweet Disguise” was recorded in the Marmalade Music Studio in Delft with producers Sven Figee and Roland Dirkse, and musicians Tim Beudel, Glenn Gaddum, Tim Eijmaal and Frank van Essen. The album was released under record label BeeBee Records which was founded by Brenda Bee in 2013.
