It was the year 1999 (as you can deduce from the name club99) when Robert, Patrick and Chris, three young friends from the roundabouts of Bolzano (I), decided to play ska music and began forming what was to become the very first ska band in the history of their own home country South Tyrol, (Italy).Today the band counts 8 musicians: Lead vocal, guitar, bass, drum, trumpet, alto-sax, tenor-sax and keyboard). In december 1999 the band performed the first live show, and it was a big success. Thanks to the songs, which invite everyone to dance and the vibrant, energetic live show, Club99 became a well known name in the music-scene of South Tyrol. In the following years Club99 succeeded in exporting their music out of the own homecountry, many concerts in Italy and in foreign countries followed.
