Bête Noire is an album by British singer Bryan Ferry, released on Virgin Records in November 1987. The album was co-produced by Patrick Leonard, and was intended to increase Ferry's commercial stature in the United States. Kiss and Tell was his only top 40 hit in the United States; the song also appears in the film Bright Lights, Big City. The album's second single, The Right Stuff, was co-written with Johnny Marr and adapted from an abandoned Smiths song, Money Changes Everything.
