Lindi Ortega has been releasing albums at a yearly pace as of late, having dropped Little Red Boots in 2011 and Cigarettes & Truckstops in 2012. This year will be no exception, since the alt-country-leaning Torontonian will drop Tin Star on October 8 through Last Gang. The album was produced by Dave Cobb (Imaginary Cities, Shooter Jennings), and a press release notes that it was inspired by Ortegas move from Toronto to Nashville. Its always my goal to raise the bar with each record I put out, the songwriter said in a statement. I have witnessed so much talent living in Nashville that has inspired me to push myself even further. I like to work with different musicians and producers to change the feel of every release. I dont want to risk making the same record over and over. Working with a new group brings a new spirit and new ideas to the music.Considering Ortegas move to Nashville, its only fitting that the album draws on classic country.
