If you've followed Michale's career in music since his time in the Misfits, this album should come as no surprise. He's been heading in this direction for years. The album is excellent and growing on me more with each listen. I still prefer the more stripped down Illusions album, but this may change with time. Highlights? Every song is a highlight! The album is best experienced as a whole, it sets a mood, and it's a very somber, introspective one. Michale is doing another monster rock album to satisfy his horror punk fans, but its really a shame that those fans won't open their minds to something new, and let the ghost of the Misfits be laid to rest. Michale's solo material has more substance and just as much style, albeit a different one. Overall another solid album from a class act. Five stars!
