Short Bio:Lexi Lyon is an indie pop singer\u002Fsongwriter from Parker, Colorado. She's currently studying Songwriting at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She's best known for her quirky lyrics and unique voice. You can find her playing at coffee shops, open mics, outdoor venues and festivals all around Colorado and, now, Nashville.Fun Bio:Lexi Lyon was a typical young girl who loved to play in the mud, pick on boys, and roll down the grassy hills of Northern California. All was joy and all was bliss, until one fateful day when her father pulled out his old Fender. Lexi gaped in wonder as he picked and plucked and beat the thing near to death. And at that moment she knew; she wanted to learn how to play guitar.In fourth grade, her parents struck her a deal; learn to play a classical instrument for two years, and then they would buy her her very own guitar. Without thinking it through, Lexi chose to play the cello in her elementary school orchestra. She soon found out that the cello was a large, awkward instrument that made even walking the short distance to school every day a difficult task for a child. But she muscled through it and, on her eleventh birthday, her father gave her a Godin 3\u002F4 acoustic guitar. It was a beautiful little thing, and Lexi cherished it with all her heart.Like everyone else in middle school, Lexi created a band with a few of her closest friends. With a perpetually changing band name and a knack for getting nothing of consequence accomplished during band practices, they were a typical group of kids who just happened to share a love for music. Inspired by her creative band mates, Lexi wrote her very first song in 8th grade and kept it a secret from everyone but her band. Much to her parents' surprise she performed the song in the 8th grade talent show in front of the entire Los Cerros Middle School. After the dramatic debut, Lexi Lyon kept writing song after song. Since then, Lexi Lyon has developed a unique sound for herself that just seems to put into music everything that she is in person; quirky, organic, straight forward and poetic. She has now performed in the Parker Colorado's Parker Days Festival, The Nashville Palace, The Bluebird Cafe, and many more school talent shows. She was well known as a songwriter in her high school in Parker, Colorado and won Most Likely to Win a Grammy and received the Creative Writing Student of the Year award. Since then she has been attending Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee as a Songwriting Major. (Fun fact: She wanted to be a Biologist at one point. Quite the turn around!)
