The artist I am writing my review on is Keith Merrow. A week or so ago I stumbled upon his work while browsing a guitar forum for suggestions on a purchase, there his video was clearly posted on the front page; as if he was the “hero off to war” from his local town. Intrigued I clicked the link; a YouTube fan I must admit I am, and started by reading the description of the song as instrumental-metal. I listened to a few songs off of his latest EP “The Arrival”; the songs I first encountered were “Shorted Out” and “The Arrival”. Conveniently all of Keith’s songs are free for download from his website, a message about his music in my eyes; a man striving to be noticed in a world with millions of sounds, trying to stand out. My review will be focusing mainly on what I think about these two songs, how they are put together and categorized, and how I feel about them.
