by Stephen Thomas ErlewineThe reunited Molly Hatchet's comeback album Devil's Canyon isn't an embarrassment, but it isn't quite a return to form, either. The group sounds professional and accomplished, capable of executing its bluesy riffs with aplomb, but apart from the Allman Brothers cover Dreams I'll Never See, the songs are simply not memorable. In other words, the band sounds better than expected, but the lack of songs makes it an unnecessary purchase for anyone but hardcore fans.
