As concise a collection as one could ask for, distilling the essence of late '70s\u002Fearly '80s hard rock into 10 strong doses, Records explains Foreigner better than any of their regular studio albums ever could. Essentially the work of ex-Spooky Tooth guitarist Mick Jones and singer Lou Gramm, Foreigner understood what it took to deliver loud, guitar-driven rock to FM radio. Their hooks were evident from the get-go with Cold As Ice and Feels Like the First Time and only grew stronger over time with Jukebox Hero and Hot Blooded. By the time of Waiting for a Girl Like You, Foreigner were beginning to lean harder on adult-contemporary pop, which sent them in another direction.
