Orizen is a Black\u002FPagan Metal band from Switzerland formed in 2005\u002F06 by Richard Leishman. The band name is a self-creation deriving from the word “horizon”. The music has a melancholic as well as powerful mood and in future there will be some classic influences too.The Name of the band is a mixture between “horizon” and “Urizen”, a tragic character of the English poet William Blake. The musical vision of Orizen is to combine the dark and raw of Metal with the harmonies of classical music. In 2009 a first self produced CD “The Path into Revelation” was released. Until now the band has been a one man project of Richard Leishman, but Orizen is currently being formed to a complete group.p.s.: As there are more and more bands in the metal underground scene with extreme political ideologies I would like to note that Orizen is only about art and has nothing to do with any kind of such extreme ideologies.
