Handpicked by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of their best 25 bands on MySpace, Shannon Hurley found an experimental way to cross genres: Hold a search for the best remixes of songs from her full-length debut Ready to Wake Up. After announcing the contest on Acidplanet.com and ccmixter.org, Shannon received over 400 versions of her songs. From trance to down-tempo to straight up heavy rock, many styles are represented in the remixes which were submitted by people all over the world.
