Financial Records' Crisis In Hollywood is gearing up for the release of their sophomore album Safe and Sound on May 12, 2009. The follow-up to their critically-hailed debut Between The Devil And The Deep Blue Sea, this album sees the band more focused on their songwriting and delivering an album filled with the kind of tenacious pop hooks that sink deep and grab hold. Safe and Sound leans towards pop\u002Fpunk for sure, as we all love a great hook, but we're going to put out an album that a metalhead, a punk, and an indie rocker can all appreciate, says vocalist Adrian.Produced by Bayside's Anthony Raneri, Safe and Sound pops and clicks in all the right spots. Challenging the band to explore different textures and approaches, Raneri helped the band find their voice and style which resulted in twelve tracks that Adrian describes as therapeutic bloodletting. Still mourning the tragic death of his father just three years ago, the album was a cathartic exorcism of sorts, filled with passion, emotion and a tangible lust for life.“When I was 15, my dad took the basketball out of my hands and strapped me to a Fender, he remembers. Ever since then, there hasn’t been a day that’s passed that I haven’t played that guitar and thought of him. I won’t stop until I let him know that it was the best decision he ever made for me.Crisis In Hollywood is Adrian (vocals, guitar), Logan (bass, vocals), Daniel (guitars, vocals) and Andy (drums, vocals). Safe and Sound will be released on May 12, 2009, via Financial Records. The band will be embarking on the The 2009 US Economic Disas-Tour with ska labelmates Victims of Circumstance.
