Swedish indie popsters the Shout Out Loudshave struggled to gain the same kind of momentum as some of their Nordic peers, with a sound that’s more Interpol than the Hives’ White Stripes, less Spoon than Peter Bjorn and John, and less New Order than the Knife. Nonetheless, the band has gotten consistently good reviews, with the only complaints being they sound too much like their peers.There are no indications that Work will be a change of formula, as the Shout Out Louds’ third album will be produced by Phil Ek, who has worked with just about every popular North American indie band imaginable.
