Empire Holiday are an electronic pop-rock band out of Dallas specializing in infectious melodies, catchy beats, and tempting vocals. The project came together in October 2009 after being in several other groups on the verge of success, however lacking that little push in the right direction. Since forming, the guys have worked hard to build their kingdom; a trait that can be seen in their self recorded and produced EP, Wouldn’t You Like To Know, which will be released on February 14. While pulling influences from modern rock bands like The Mars Volta, Emery and Thrice, Empire Holiday also recall the simplicity of 80s and 90s pop music, a feature noticeable with their cover of 1993’s club-favorite, “What Is Love.” Empire Holiday’s music reflects the group’s opinions about the world, and they strive to write lyrics that people can relate to. The members have spent months developing a relationship with not only each other, but also each one of their fans. Whether it be holding special contests or meeting people after shows, the guys make it a priority to unite with their listeners, who they refer to as “The Empire”. From creating consistently unique music to influencing the world around them to building a fanbase, it’s easy to see that Empire Holiday are ready to take over the universe. Empire Holiday consists of Chris Shelton (vocals, electronics, production), Paul Wade (guitar, vocals),Armando Aldas (guitar, lights), Brandon Bruns (drums), and Ronnie Lee (bass).
