Following the success of their debut Typically Everybody Thinks Youre Dead, Shibuya Crossings come with their new single Can You Prove (Something To Me) remixed and revamped for release this autumn. Guitarist & singer\u002Fsongwriter Declan Harrington, the brainchild behind Shibuya Crossings is originally from Belfast where he was a member of popular Indie Rock outfit Jude. After relocating to London in 2005, he started Shibuya Crossings initially as a solo project, and spent the following year recording debut 'Songs For Lovesick Teenagers' in his Islington flat. Since the release of the first single Typically, Everybody Thinks Youre Dead this indie Alt-Pop outfit have been making an impact on the UK music scene recording two BBC radio sessions (Radio 1 & BBC Ulster), featuring in the NME and making the UK Music Search top 30 albums of 2006 with their debut album Songs For LovesickTeenagers. Now Declan has teamed up with drummer Ian Escario, guitarist Gareth Evans and bassist Rob Toshman to launch the band into live performances and promote their new single Can You Prove (Something To Me) during the run up to Christmas. This is a straight up feel good Indie Rock tune reminiscent of early tracks by Brit pop legends Ash and Blur. A two-minute pop-punk frenzy of screaming guitars complimented with clever backing vocals that surround a catchy, sing-along chorus. The Shibuya Crossings sound is melodic, driving Alternative\u002FIndie Rock in which tuneful and often spiky guitars weave and spar around vocal harmonies and memorable hooks. Declans voice is tough enough to deliver the punkier anthems and yet versatile enough to also deal with slower, more pensive moments. Can You Prove (Something to me) will be available in both download and 7 vinyl formats.
