The band Elkee was created by its five members out of a simple desire for rock, but was also conceived as a project of renewal and experimentation. The raw power of rock combined with electronic sounds and atmospheres contributes to much of the intensity of Elkee's hypnotic and ethereal sonic signature. Highly evocative, the band's lyrics and music draw upon different personal experiences and musical influences and constitute a powerful emotional release for both the musicians and their public. The backbone of Elkee is formed by Matthieu Tharin (vocals) and his brother Manu Tharin (guitar), who compose the creative force of the band.They have known and played with the other band members for over ten years: Christophe Farine (bass), Greg Moy (guitar), and Manu Linder (drums). Each musician brings in various influences and sensibilities, all coming together in a strong artistic collaboration tending towards a purity of style.
