The Astroboy is the moniker of portuguese musician Luís Fernandes. Drone, timbric exploration and contemplative soundscapes built from analog synthesis, digital manipulation and guitars are the elements we can find in “A derrota da engrenagem” (2007, test tube\u002Flovers and lollypops), “090309” (2009, Cobra) and The Chromium Fence (2011, PAD). His work has been highlighted and reviewed by publications such as The Wire, The Arts Desk, The Liminal, No Fear of Pop, No Modest Bear and Visitation Rites. Flow my Tears is a record based on a book by P.K. Dick, in which The Astroboy sound is taken a step further. It features Hans-Joachim Roedelius group Qluster.
