Milk Kan's latest release is an uplifting cheer to the ordinary - a cheeky and energetic old-skool punk-guitar anthem to forget thewannabees and champion the neverbees and comes hot on the heels of their Dec 2008 top 10 Indie Chart hit (God with an Ipod) and is the second release from their self titled album (out March 2009). Their critically acclaimed debut single Bling Bling Baby hit 13 in the Indie charts in Dec 2005 attracting national airplay from BBC luminaries Steve Lamacq, Jonathan Ross, Mark Radcliffe and Chris Moyles catapulting them into a string of major league live shows in 2006 & 2007 supporting the Strokes at Hyde Park's Wireless Festival, Babyshambles at East London's Rhythm Factory, The Vionent Femmes at Shepherds Bush Empire as well as twu UK tours supporting Hayseed Dixie and also punk-underground ascendants The King Blues. Milk Kan spent 2008 in the studio recording their debut album. Blaggers, chancers and urban poets - Milk Kan began as a two piece late 2003; as Scrappy Hood and Jimmy Blade picked up their mothers' guitars and buskes to the capital's trains, tubes and very-late night buses. Following the release of their bedroom-recorded debut in 2004 they swapped public transport busking for the Lower East Side of Manhattan; gigging at local open mike haunts before returning to London to sign a single deal with PIAS records. Late 2007 saw MK's signing to emerging East London independent Blang with their long awaited debut album finally recorded in 2008 after 2 hard years on the road.
