One day a group of young musical friends, all of them originating from the Caribbean island of Bonaire and residing in Aruba, had the idea to form a folk music group to keep the Bonairean musical traditions alive in Aruba. The plan was to perform on Sundays for friends and families, however the Aruban crowd received them with such enthusiasm and open arms that they soon became one of the most popular bands from the Netherlands Antilles. Crème de la Crème” is the name of the Rincon Boyz' 3rd release which receives massive airplay on all local radio stations. The Boyz’ very own distinctive sound that they developed over the years has become even more distinguished. In 2011 the lead singer of Rincon Boyz won “Rey di Tumba” during Aruba Carnival.
