The post-metal/progressive band BREA consists of Russel Brownfield (Guitar/Vocals), Adam Gagnon (Bass), Josh Fallin (Drums), and Jon Reid (Guitars). The music is a amalgamation of influences including Isis, Mastodon, Intronaut, and Cynic. Having formed in 2011, with previous drummer Michael Flores, they began making a presence in their home state of Oklahoma by writing and performing material that would later be found on their 2012 Self Titled EP. On the success of the EP, they were able to book their own regional tour and also play multiple slots at this year’s South by Southwest Festival in Austin, TX. Staying true to their work ethic and DIY attitude, the band immediately started work on a full-length album, “Guests Among Clouds”, which was released this year and is currently available through the band exclusively at www.breaband.bandcamp.com. Brea is looking to do a reissue of some songs both from the EP and "Guests.." to showcase talents by Jon, who wasn't featured on the EP, and Josh, who wasn't featured on either.
