Ishod Britt was born October 30th 1993 in Virginia Beach, Virginia to Pastor Vernon and Gloria Britt. He is the younger of their two children. After their first child and five miscarriages they were told that they were unable to have any more children. They began to pray and promise God that if he gave them a boy child then they would raise him and give him back unto God as a living sacrifice. That same year Ishod was born and the promise that was made 17 years ago still stands today. 
 
While growing up in Virginia, Ishod attended M.T.H.O. Fellowship Center, under the leadership of his god parents Bishop Robert and Pastor Brenda Howard. His parents served as assistant pastors for eighteen years. It was then he began to develop an ear for music. At the age of three he started to show interest in the drums. The drummer at that time began to teach Ishod as much as possible. By the age of seven his gift had grown and he was looking to learn and perfect another instruments. By age nine he had begun to seek to play the piano. Although Ishod had a longing to play, the minister of music would not teach him because he was young in age. This did not stop his love for music. After watching and studying other musicians Ishod began to teach himself how to play. After three years of continual practice and guidance from the Holy Spirit Ishod was appointed as minister of music, which was unheard of at this time being that he was so young in age. Although he was a young man holding a high position he remained humble.
