The Ghost Ease began in 2010 as guitarist, Jem Marie’s solo project. Since then, the project has taken on many forms, shifting through different genres and members until 2012, when Jem met Nsayi. Together as a two-piece, their sound had been described as ethereal witchcraft, possessing “extreme and forceful dynamics” with “tender and delicate poise”. Their name speaks of being soothed by the comforting spirit energies surrounding, and their performance urges listeners to be lulled by these spirits. In May 2013, Fabi Reyna (Older Women, Reynosa) joined the band, adding a magical low end to the project's heavy dreamscapes.
