Songwriter David Poe's work has been recorded by artists of multiple genres, including classic rockers Grace Potter and Daryl Hall, Broadway composer Duncan Sheik, Portuguese fado ingenue Ana Moura, Norwegian alt-folkie Thomas Dybdahl, jazz singer Curtis Stigers and pop artist Oh Land. 
 
David Poe solo recordings include his forthcoming release God & The Girl, his eponymous debut, produced by T-Bone Burnett; The Late Album (Sony/Epic); Love Is Red (Universal Music/The Lab) David Poe Live & Solo (Artists Den); The Copier: Music for Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet; Shadowland: Music for Pilobolus; and David Poe Onstage at World Café (Universal Music/Decca DVD.)  
 
Poe's songs have appeared in numerous films and television shows, from Nashville to The O.C. His score for Shadowland, a touring show by contemporary dance company Pilobolus, has been performed on every continent, including a presentation for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Poe is a composer fellow of the Sundance Institute. 
 
Transplanted from the American Midwest to New York City, David Poe served as the sound engineer at CBGB’s 313 Gallery before being signed to Sony Music. As a performer, he has toured the world as support act for the likes of Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Chris Whitley and Tori Amos; as a producer, he has worked with Regina Spektor, Kraig Jarret Johnson of The Jayhawks, and The Brendan Hines
