Singer/songwriter Jools is a multi-instrumentalist with diverse influences from modern to classic, encompassing jazz, blues, latin and alt-country. Her songs and lyrics are quirky, colourful and soul-searching. As a published writer and poet, her work has been described as ‘moody and magnificent’ by Twin Poets, London. She also writes on art history.
  Malcolm is a multi-instrumentalist and composer, collaborating with Jools and playing a key role in arrangement and production. He also works on his own solo instrumental and soundtrack projects.
Together as Ruby Muse, live or in the studio, Jools and Mal create a highly original rootsy blend of blues-jazz, folk-rock and alt-country – all pulled together by strong grooves to create their own distinctive brand of ‘electro-acoustic soulfood’.
