来自南非的Thrash/Groove Metal乐队，组建于2012年。
Carnage Carnival is a 5-piece metal band from Durban, South Africa. The band’s music consists of thrash/groove influenced guitar riffs, with a vocal style in the vein of Pantera and Sepultura.
The band was formed in late December 2012 and made their debut in the South African music scene in March 2013. Carnage Carnival has had slight line-up changes but is currently made up of Kris Xenopoulos(lead guitar),Gino Guimaraes(rhythm guitar), Chase Drewett (bass guitar) , Seth Parkin(drums) and Matthew Brown(vocals)
The band was started with the mind-set of being a shred/power metal type band, among music students studying around Durban in late 2012. After writing more and more music they decided to ditch the operatic vocal style and Iron Maiden type guitar riffs. The sound continued in a more thrash metal direction but with a unique twist. The band takes influence from various types of extreme metal, with a strong black metal influence in the way the guitar riffs are written and have odd obsession with 70s prog rock which brings odd time signatures into to play. The lyrical content consists of Greek, Norse and biblical themes, it does tend to branch out into some far out concepts but the main goal is to keep them as epic as possible. 
Carnage Carnival has played numerous shows around South Africa and has featured in some big gigs and festivals nationally, including playing with Dreamshade on their SA tour, playing The South African Metal Head Association launch, The Becoming the Archetype SA tour fundraiser, The Emalyth Arts Expo 6 (Pretoria), The Wacken Metal Battle South Africa 2014 and many more.
Since their induction to the South African Metal scene Carnage Carnival has released 3 singles, made it to the #1 spot on the Reverbnation South African charts for metal, have released a music video, been credited with positive reviews, made it into the final of The Wacken Metal Battle South Africa and have received a steadily increasing fan-base.
At the moment Carnage Carnival have just finished their debut album, which could be described as a blackened thrash/groove metal album and are aiming for the release to be in December.
