Drawing on the prodigious composing and producing talents of guitarist
John Konesky (Tenacious D), and producer John Spiker (Tenacious D,
Filter, and Bassist for Steve Earle’s Grammy-Winning Album ‘Townes’),
Lilly B’s debut album ‘Shores’ is a refreshing blend of Pop and Rock
with a distinctly southern feel that will strongly appeal to fans of
the modern country genre.
Lilly B’ has been an invigorating singer, lyricist and live performer
since her Mother fostered her interest in music by enrolling her in
serious study with a professional vocal coach at the age of 7, and she
has not looked back since. She has performed both as a lead singer with
a variety of bands and as a solo artist in music venues throughout the
southeastern United States, including in her beloved island home on the
coast of South Carolina, a location which she writes genuinely and
belts soulfully about in her first single of the album, the utterly
pleasing tune ‘Shores of Carolina’ released on iTunes in late 2010. Her
first ever album, ‘Shores’ is as passionate an effort as its individual
tracks are catchy, musically rich, and delicious to the ear.
The album, ‘Shores’, was conceived via a transcontinental collaboration with L.A.-based professional guitarist/recording artist John Konesky
who brought a rock edge to Lilly B’s heartfelt and emotive collection
of lyrics she had been authoring for most of the previous decade. The
two teamed up with Konesky’s longtime friend, bassist, and producer,
John Spiker within the magical and storied confines of Grammy-winning
Sound Engineer Dave Bianco’s cozy Los Angeles studio space and recorded
the debut triumph ‘Shores’.
