简介：Downie has been singing in front of audiences since she was a small girl. She began her formal vocal training as a young teenager performing classical, pop and jazz music.  She has a minor in vocal performance from Brigham Young University.  As well as being a seasoned vocalist she is also a songwirter in jazz and her origianal music can be heard on her current album "A Different Kind Of You".   Downie received rave reviews in Japan where she performed for four years to sell out crowds in the Jazz clubs. As well as her originals, from modern,latin,pop,jazz, Downie also performs a vast array of beloved American Songbook Standards. Currently her album can  be heard in cities throughout the country.  Singer/Songwriter Peter Godwin of the UK band Metro and Nuevo says,  " Jazzy late night cool vibes that echo Billie Holiday, Norah Jones.. even Sting and Steely Dan at times.. Very smokey Downie" Her passionate and spell binding performances make her a favorite artist at clubs, festivals, concerts, dinner shows and private parties. Downie has performed live on air at WGU jazz music series with Scott Vander Werf, WYCE with Ryan Reynolds WPMD with Mike Stark and TEE-M on the unsigined music show  in Los Ceritos California.  Downie is now based in LA and in 2011/2012 her music has been played in Seattle, San Diego, Las Vegas, Jackson. New Orleans, Pensacola, Boston, Baltimore, Grand Rapids, Ft. Collins, Memphis, Houston, Scratton, Phoenix, Huntsville, Milwaukee, Western MI, and Wichita KA, St. Louis, and Los Angelos.   Her New CD "A Different Kind Of You", released early in 2012, is also gaining popularity around the country.    In March 2012 Downie was a featured perfromer on "The Dennis Bono show - Live from Las Vegas" alongside James Tormé, Crystal Gayle, and Robert Davi.  Most recently she was a fetured perfromer at Hollywood Studio Bar and Grill with Karen Hernandez on piano, Tony Dumas on bass and Ralph Penland on drums.
