With their catchy guitar hooks and soaring vocal melodies, Days Divide will be straightforward in telling you that they aren’t trying to reinvent the wheel. “The most important thing to us is the melody,” says guitarist Kye Keefe. “I think that is a simple idea that most successful bands have understood and we’re only trying to take that idea and make it our own.” With their Debut LP “Aurora” set for release in early 2009, the band is ready to let the music speak for itself.
Recorded with award-winning producer Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Disciple), “Aurora” mixes hard-hitting guitars and drums with powerful and in-your-face vocals on songs such as “The End Has Come” and “Burn Away”, while tracks such as “Long Sleeves in Summer” and “Sunset Eyes” blend dynamics with raw emotion. Add in the more upbeat and feel-good tracks such as “Left Behind” and “Edge of the Earth”, and “Aurora” proves to be a truly diverse album.
