Uzi And Ari，来自盐湖城的独立摇滚乐队，由Ben Shepard成立于03年，到目前为止总共发行过两张专辑Don't Leave in Such a Hurry和It is Freezing Out。我对他们的印象主要来自于It is Freezing Out这张专辑，展现出乐队独特的一面，其中韵致的电子节拍、柔和的旋律、浓厚的ambient氛围以及Ben Shepard强而有力的歌声更是让我喜爱，专辑里更多的是抑制、痛苦、挫败、困惑。丰富而密集的专辑充满的微妙的，安静的气质是值得我们去关注并且享受的。而08年10月28号发行的这张专辑Headworms是一场与神关于反省的对话。专辑封面似乎有点于专辑的内质不是很搭，我就是看中了这个封套才载下这张专的。飘渺迷蒙的海边，舞动的少女以及残存的影象，象是在轻舞又或者是玩耍。专辑里大多是略带一点实验性质独立摇滚，构成轻快的旋律。而也有Telecaster里的小提琴、钢琴、钟琴合奏的室内流行小曲，多层次的器乐堆砌很好的引导了丰富的情绪。也会有Comforts这样断奏的铜管乐器、小巧的电子节拍的实验氛围。这样说一句吧，尽管他们的配器没有Sigur Ros式的宏伟大气，但是却保持足够的亲近感。推荐的曲目是Missoula，细碎的电子节拍忽然转至急切而热烈的吉他前奏，钟琴点缀在旋律中，通篇在鼓的敲打中行进，Shepard沉溺的嗓音伴随着悠扬的提琴划破耳膜，久久回响在心底。

Uzi and Ari is an American indie rock band based in Salt Lake City, Utah that has received favorable comparisons to artists such as Thom Yorke, Mogwai, The Postal Service, and The Album Leaf.[1][2] Founded by Ben Shepard in 2003, Uzi and Ari has seen many changes in its lineup. The current members of the group include Ben Shepard (vocals, guitar, organ), Andrew Glassett (drums), Catherine Worsham (bass, backing vocals), Garrett Martin (guitar, keyboard), and Ryan Moore (violin, guitar, french horn). Following a month long 2006 tour of the United States, Uzi and Ari was picked up by the European label Own Records, and left on a successful six-week European tour in the Spring of 2007.[3]They are currently recording a new studio album entitled, "Headworms."
