Melissa Forbes is an Australian born Jazz/Soul/R&B singer who enjoyed a successful carreer in law before she followed her true passion - singing. 
Her 2005 debut, “No More Mondays” has garnered rave reviews. She successfully displays a wide array of influences on her first release by offering jazzified renditions of songs by Michael Jackson, DAngelo and even Metalica. Her own single, “Blackheart Blues”, is currently available for free (and legal) download here:

A contemporary vocalist with the ability to seamlessly move between genres, Melissa has performed with some of the best, and is committed to teaching the next generation of fine contemporary voices.
Originally trained in jazz and improvisation, Melissa has also studied contemporary vocal pedagogy extensively, and hopes to complete a PhD in the area.
She is Associate Lecturer in Voice at the University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba, Australia, where she leads a merry band of young vocalists in their quest to reach their fullest potential through singing.  Melissa also has her own private studio, The Contemporary Voice Studio.
Melissa released her album No More Mondays to critical and popular acclaim on her own independent label Kitten Kong Records.  She was a pioneer in internet marketing of music and won numerous International Online Music Awards.  Kitten Kong has also released Cinderella Sings the Blues by jazz and blues artist Lana Martino-Smith.
Her love for singing has taken her to Singapore, Japan and soon the United States as part of a Churchill Fellowship and has allowed her to share the stage with such luminaries as Michael Buble, Naturally 7 and David Hobson.
