Led by synthesist Sanford Ponder, this group creates music generated by fractal mathematics. The computer programs are connected to numerous synthesizers. The musicians then interact with the resulting soundtracks by overdubbing percussion, sax, flute, and piano. For something created by the seemingly impartial mathematics of "chaos" theories, this music is surprisingly beautiful and emotionally stimulating.
