四人乐团Mercy Arms于2004年成立于澳大利亚的悉尼，成立后便一直在澳大利亚各地表演，2007年9月在Levity终于完成首张EP，倍受好评和关注。他们的音乐深受到了The Smiths和噪音吉他大师级的My Bloody Valentine的影响，他们不迎合时尚大潮流的节拍，但凭借他们的出色表演，逐渐成为澳大利亚地下音乐不可缺少的一部分。催眠般的的旋律，强有力的节奏，震耳欲聋的宏大场面，错综复杂的音效，模糊的噪音，种种迹象证明了他们非凡的势力，犹如璀璨的繁星，让人狂喜。Thom Moore的声音是就像地心引力一样吸引人，穿透力十足，动静自如，并魅力四射。梦幻般的气质让我给这张专辑加了很多分，很大程度上让Mercy Arms和其他澳大利亚的乐队划开了界限，脱颖而出。更为难得的是整张专辑都是如此的美妙，真叫人抓狂！！！ 
 
Mercy Arms are an alternative rock band from Sydney, Australia. The four-piece formed in late 2005 amongst the flourishing post garage rock revival Sydney music scene. 2006 saw the band tour Australia with The Strokes, record with Dave Sitek from TV on the Radio, & sign with Capitol Records in the US. 2007 saw the band part ways with Capitol after the company's merger with Virgin, tour with The Pixies, Editors, Cut Copy, Wolf & Cub & The Horrors, and play at the Sydney and Gold Coast legs of the first V Festival (Australia). Somewhere amongst all this Mercy Arms' first release Kept Low EP was also recorded & released September 2007 on Levity in Australia, to critical acclaim. 
 
On their debut album, released independently August 2008, they collaborated with legendary producer Tony Cohen, famed for producing timeless records by The Birthday Party, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, the Dirty Three and Crime & The City Solution. The collective also chose to mix the album in Melbourne with Tony Espie, the man most regarded for his work with The Avalanches and Cut Copy.
