by  Gary HillComing out of the Swedish death metal scene, the Afflicted released their first album, Prodigal Sun, in 1992. They were one of the first bands to show prog metal tendencies in the death genre. 1995 saw the group release Dawn of Glory, but they broke up shortly after that one. Their discography also includes an EP called The Don't Mock EP.
