Vadikan is a Gothic Metal project, started in 2004 in Moscow, Russia. 
A female vocalist was added to the lineup in 2007. Her tender and emotionally rich voice perfectly express the moods of the lyrics and emphasize the melody and dynamics of the songs. 
 
On November 11, 2008, Vadikan released their first album, “Time Of Yellow Repentance” on Netlabel. Their sound is characterized by heavy gloomy guitar and “atmospheric” keyboard playing. They combined elements of Doom Metal and Gothic Rock, with the presence of clean male and female vocals. More than 10 professional musicians were involved in the recording. 
 
In 2010 Vadikan released the single “Only Love Lives All Time”, featuring the title track in English, in Gothic Metal style, plus a slow instrumental track “Suspense” combining Doom Metal with Symphonic Metal, with ominous oppressive atmosphere. These tracks are full of explosive energy, tight, heavy sound in more complex arrangements. The band actively used electronic effects, modern hard guitar riffs and sampled drums on the “Only Love Lives All Time” track. 
 
Vadikan’s favourite lyrical themes are lost love, suffering, grief and death. 
 
Vadikan’s music was broadcast on Internet radio stations: “NeFM Radio”, “Globalz” and Metal-Radio.ru (the first professional Internet radio station in Russia, dedicated to play heavy music.)
