Orestea are a 5 piece, female fronted, melodic metal band from Guildford, Surrey. 
Despite only forming at the end of 2008 – Orestea have had a tremendously successful first year together, managing to self release their debut E.P ‘Shadows Of Yesterday’ and also playing some prestigious gig slots, including the famous ‘Download Festival’.  
So far this year, the band have written and recorded their debut album 'Love Lines & Blood Ties' (due for release October '10) competed a mini tour, and played at Guilfest. Over the summer the band will also be making an appearance at Bloodstock Open Air Festval.
