Real life by Alan.s.Robinson
You have to walk to see the world
For the earth gives up it’s secrets but slowly
In a car it flashes by too fast
And there’s no time to equate with strangeness
I know I’m not the only one who
Who sees the photograph and says that this is not right
See the colours they’re all wrong
It’s twice as beautiful in the real world
In the real world
Think of all the pretty sights you’ve seen
How long you carry them with you
But as you turned your head away
All was lost, but all was saved
You only have one chance to look
Only this moment in which to read this body
Like when you put down a good book
You’ll never read again with quite the same outlook
I know I’m not the only one who
Who sees the photograph and says that this is not right
See the colours they’re all wrong
It’s twice as beautiful in the real world
In the real world
